Give A Life Foundation

The Give A Life Foundation
is supporting of 11 hospitals by providing them a life saving medicines and
medical equipment. Give a Life also renovates the children’s ward in the
hospitals. Like the recent projects of Springboard Foundation that sponsored by
DSM Nutritional Products, Nickelodeon and Bosch , they renovated the children’s
ward and bought brand-new stainless steel baby cribs for then Ospital ng Maynila.
The children’s cancer ward in the Ospital ng Maynila was renovated and what a
difference it makes to the little patients there who have suffered so much.
Together with the free medicines that they receive from Give a Life they now
have hope to win the battle against cancer.
Give a Life’s most
immediate needs are for medicines and equipment. The Nursery roof of the Ospital
ng Maynila should be replaced as soon as possible.

Hope Worldwide Foundation

Hope Worldwide cares for the urban poor
children in Baseco and Payatas. They have daycare centers, livelihood programs
and drop in centers in both places and are currently building a refuge center
for abused children in Laguna. This center will start operating in December this
year. They have family development programs and we just started a program for
essential nutrition for the urban poor children in their area.
Angelo King
foundation make a commitment of 5 Million for the building of the Muliti Purpose
Hall in Nayong Pag-asa a center for abused children.

EVA (Entrepreneur Volunteer Assistance) Foundation

The EVA Foundation has helped the AETA community for more then 10 Years. It
started after Mount Pinatubo erupted and left the Aeta people homeless and
displaced. Jenny Wallum has worked tirelessly to implement education- and
livelihood plans. She has built many schools and her experience in that area is
admirable. The 3-room school that is being build now with funding from
Springboard is situated in an area where the local community has been very
supportive and hardworking with previous projects. These communities are far
away from any other school and this school is their only mean to get an
education, without which they would become dependable on other people. Their
cultural history is sensitively incorporated into their education and thus they
receive an important building block to a happy future.

SACOP is a
center that has a good track record and gives micro loans for mothers to help
them with their enterprises. It has been highly recommended by Jenny Wallum of
the EVA Foundation who has helped them to set up this micro loan program for
woman. This will make it possible for these women to create an income so that
they can care for their children. Most women are very sincere in paying back
this loan on time. The total fund released will be returned to the Springboard
Foundation after one year and we can decide if we want to grant that fund again.
If we see it working well we will naturally give the money to SACOP for another
year to help more women to establish a livelihood.

in Tagbilaran, Bohol. Idea is helping the deaf and blind people to have home and
educate them. They teach them sign language or Braille and provide jobs so that
they can earn their own living. They build houses that can be occupied by former
students who are now grown-up and might even work there. For this a monthly
payment is made, this money is kept and another house is build as soon as enough
funds are gathered. One can also sponsor a child, for 1,800 Pesos a month.

cataracts, club foot, post polio, artificial leg (below-the-knee)
