A message from Catherine Freeman
Going for Gold!
In May 2005, I participated in an event which is one of those rare things
that comes along once in a while and changes your life! My visit to the Dr.
Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital in Manila, the Philippines, with members of the
Springboard Foundation to open the Catherine Freeman Respiratory Ward
afforded me the opportunity of meeting many children who were being treated
for respiratory ailments and cancer. Their need and suffering was great and
yet the support that has been given to them by the Springboard Foundation
not only eases the suffering but saves lives too; I feel so proud to have
been able to support such a worthy foundation.
Christmas should always be the best of times for everyone. The sad
reality, however, is that Christmas can in fact be the worst of times for
some people. Please support the Springboard Foundation and give a life
this Christmastime by pledging your support to their goal of reaching ONE
MILLION PESOS by December 25th, 2005. What better way to make a
statement to the Filipino community that your community cares about their
children! |
